Spirit of Nostalgia

Here is a site from the Minnesota Historical Society with old photos of Minnesota towns. Enter your town. I was raised in Little Falls, MN and these are pictures taken in 1927 when "Lucky Lindy", our most famous citizen, came for a visit after flying solo across the big pond. My husband found old photos of his home town he had never seen before. If you have roots in Minnesota, try browsing.

Since my 'history' isn't all that different than yours, well except I was born 27 years later...but you've been there the whole time. ANYWAY. I put in Wenonah school, just down the block from our house in Mpls. Sure enough. Not that this really applies to my timeframe, but it's there. (And I remembered how to spell it!)

And why didn't they have this slide down at the lake when we lived there??!
